Consent and privacy

How ROASaurus handles cookie consent and customer data.

With Respect visitor consent (the default), ROASaurus reads Shopify's customer privacy settings. If a visitor declines marketing cookies, no visitor id or click ids are stored and nothing is sent to ad platforms for that visitor.

Emails, phone numbers and addresses are hashed with SHA-256 before they are sent. Platform tokens are encrypted at rest. Shopify's GDPR requests (customer redact, shop redact) are handled automatically.
